When in America, it’s completely normal to stay in your ski gear — who really has the luggage space for coats and proper boots anyway? Well… that logic didn’t quite translate in Japan. I had a very memorable (and slightly embarrassing) three-hour train ride from Niseko to Chitose, where everyone was dressed in muted shades of grey and black, like winter office wear. And then there was me — in full traffic-light colours with zebra-striped pants. I will never forget that moment.

This piece mirrors that monochrome train — a seamless row of pearls, like a carriage of black and white. Minimal at first glance, yet quietly striking, it turns restraint into something undeniably luxurious, letting simplicity speak for itself.

在美国，穿着滑雪装备完全正常——毕竟谁的行李空间够放大衣和雪靴呢？不过……这种逻辑在日本可就不适用了。我有一次非常难忘（也有点尴尬）的三小时火车之旅，从二世古到千岁，车上每个人都穿着灰色和黑色的低调冬装，就像冬日的办公装。而我呢——全身红黄绿的交通灯色，还搭配斑马纹裤子。我永远不会忘记那个瞬间。

这件作品正如那列单色火车——一排排珍珠宛如黑白车厢。乍看极简，却静静地惊艳，把克制转化为无法忽视的奢华，让简约本身开口述说。
